The thunderstorms that moved in to Brno overnight left a thick haze of fog hanging over the Czech circuit, postponing the start of proceedings by 30 minutes. Once the fog lifted sufficiently that the medical airlift helicopter could fly again - a prerequisite for action to start on track - the 125cc riders took to the track for their second session of free practice, minus Red Bull Ajo's Marc Marquez who is still uncertain of taking part due to the shoulder he dislocated yesterday.
In Marquez' absence, the Bancaja Aspar riders dominated the session, Bradley Smith and Nico Terol swapping the lead throughout, with Smith coming out on top. STIPA Molenaar's Randy Krummenacher took 3rd, eight tenths behind Smith, and Tuenti Derbi's Pol Espargaro rounded out the top four, another half a second behind Krummenacher.
