After celebrating their first wedding anniversary, Prince William admits he's eager to have children with Kate Middleton but isn't going any further to say if they are currently expecting a child.
In an exclusive interview with Katie Couric the Prince says, "I'm just very keen to have a family and both Catherine and I, you know, are looking forward to having a family in the future".
When asked about pregnancy rumors surrounding the couple, the 29-year-old laughed, "You won't get anything out of me. Tight lipped."
However, if the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting, it seems their first-born child could be in line for the throne regardless of gender after the the heads of 16 Commonwealth countries agreed to a change in the rules of succession and the change is expected to be official as soon as the British Parliament amend the existing law.
As for William's immediate future, he must come to a decision by the end of the year if he wishes to take another tour of duty with the Royal Air Force as a flight lieutenant or tend to royal duties full-time.
“I’m still trying to decide,” he said. “It’s a really difficult one because I really enjoy my time in the Air Force. And I’d love to continue it. But the pressures of my other life are building. And fighting them off or balancing the two of them has proven quite difficult.”
